Data security and system performance
We focus on the failure free and reliable performance of our systems and the security of your data. This is why we invest continuously in the security of our systems, to ensure the highest level in security and availability concerns.
For security reasons in the following we describe our security measures for your data and our performance optimization only on an abstract level. We explain the details in a personal talk. In security and performance we differ logic and physic parameters. Both of them complement each other.
Physic Parameters:
Our servers are hosted in a high performance data processing center in high security rooms under a german state bank.
The data processing center meets the highest security and technical standards:
- It is located in the high security area of a state bank
- Physical access control 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
- Guaranteed temperatures of 18 degrees Celsius to 28 degrees Celsius and a guaranteed humidity of 25 % to 75% through air conditioning
- Surveillance system and fire control
- Uninterruptible power supply
- High availability and transmission capacity through three internet backbones (connection 100 Mbit/s) with a variety of peering and foreign connections
Our IT- systems are in physically secured server cabinets and only employees of verbaco systems AG have access to them. The servers are concepted redundant.
Logic Parameters:
The servers have different tasks in the network and are optimized accordingly: firewall, webserver, application server and database server
- Two Stateful Inspection firewalls take care for the security in the communication process
- The webserver does the encryption of the transferred data and has another access control with the backend software
- The application servers communicate with the webserver and the databases
- The database servers manage all accumulated data
Daily total backups transfer the data encrypted to a physically separated server location. What does this mean for you?
- Availability 24 hours a day, 365 days a year over 99%
- High performance through a fast connection and state of the art servers
- In the case of a hardware error a standby server takes over the function and the system availability is not disturbed
- Even if two of our three redundant internet connections break down, we still supply you with our full service
- 128-Bit SSL encryption of the entire communication
- The data of the participants are secured logically and physically
- Only a few employees of our technic team have physical access to the servers. The 24hour security guards work permanently
